Science 7 — The Particles Do Not Change. Only Their Spacing Does.

A model earns its keep by ruling things out. The particle model says water becoming steam is the same particles, further apart, moving faster — and it therefore says the particles do not swell, do not melt, and have nothing between them. Those three denials are harder to accept than the model itself, and they are what this week is for.

Every item is one file. It opens with a double-click, works with the Wi-Fi off, and copies to a phone or a USB stick.

📘

Course Syllabus

For the teacher. The full year on the three-term calendar. All 45 CG competencies across four domain quarters — and the note that from this grade the quarter order stops matching the elementary one.

🗓️

Lesson Plan — ILAW

For the teacher. The whole five-day week in the format DepEd prescribes for filing. Day 3 is given over to the three denials, which is where the model is either understood or reduced to a picture of dots.

📝

Lesson Plan — Lesson Exemplar

For the teacher. Day 1 at teaching depth. The class draws water at three temperatures before anything is taught, and their own drawings supply every misconception the lesson then dismantles. Seven anticipated misconceptions.

📋

Assessment Pack

For the teacher. A Table of Specifications, two tests with keys, a weekly check, and rubrics for all four quarterly performance tasks — which the Science guide requires rather than suggests.

🧮

Class Record

For the teacher. Raw scores in, grade out, at 20 / 50 / 30 under DO 015 s. 2026. Transmutation is a year switch, not a constant. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent.

🖥️

Slides

For the class. Fifteen slides. Particle spacing is drawn in proportion to the state it represents, so a gas is not a solid with wider gaps and the same picture.

🎮

Where Are the Particles?

For the class. Three rounds with drawn particle diagrams. Round 3 is nothing but the three things the model denies — that particles swell, that particles melt, and that there is air in the gaps.

✏️

Offline Activities

For the teacher. Three individual and two group activities needing nothing but learners, floor space, a bottle and some water. Two of them use the class itself as the particles.

📄

Learner Worksheet

For the class. One A4 page per learner. Three boxes to draw in, an energy-direction column, and a last item that asks what is in the spaces — which is the whole model in one question.

🩹

Start With the Room

For the class. A different route to the same competency, not a shorter one. Four tasks, each with a worked example above it, starting from people standing in a room rather than from dots on a page.

🧾

Wall Chart

For the class. A4 landscape, printable and laminatable. Arrangement, spacing and motion for each state, plus the three things the model denies.

📅

+Week Planner

For the teacher. All 33 weeks of the year, with the curriculum guide competency for each.

🧠

+Common Misconceptions

For the teacher. 7 misconceptions this week, and what to do about each.

👀

+Observation Card

For the teacher. Eight slips to cut apart — one per learner — for recording their exact words.

🏅

+What Good Work Looks Like

For the class. The standard, stated to the learner before the task rather than after.
